Courage Group

(Kindergarten)

The 4- to 5-year old children appear quite independent in most of the areas. We have observed that by this age the children have more or less formed their own individuality and are able to express their likes and dislikes. Four-year olds are able to use their expanded language abilities and awareness of the world to have meaningful conversations and create increasingly complex representations of their ideas. Their growing attention span and ability to collaborate can lead to exciting investigations and projects that they may work on over a period of time. Four-year olds also have a more developed understanding of themselves and others, which allows them to build deeper relationships and explore essential aspects of identity, friendships and groups.

Their passion for stories and playful engagement with language, their curiosity about counting and quantity, the principles of scientific observation and wonder – all these are integrated into their daily activities. Our endeavour is to strengthen the children’s sense of discovery and joy in learning, recognising that children learn most deeply when they are truly interested in their experiences.
