(Nursery)
We have seen that from ages 3 to 4years, tremendous growth and change takes place in children. With their expanding language abilities, they are filled with questions and curiosity they engage in more complex play and social relationships. This rich play of three-year olds often weaves together their emerging ideas about the world they are surrounded with; they identify themselves with different characters or create make-believe stories. They also start sharing their own hopes, dreams, struggles and joys. So, building character and nurturing this type of play are some of the major components of Joy Group curriculum.
Our prime focus for Joy group:
- Building of character – the qualities of courage, sympathy, patience, perseverance, compassion, etc.
- Language development – pre-writing, pre-reading, creative expression and listening skill.
- Socialising skills
- Training of the faculties of the mind- Concentration, Observation, Reasoning, Imagination, Judgment and Memory.
- Training in Mathematical skills - Estimation, Sequencing, Measuring, Sorting, Numbers, Counting with objects, More and less, Shapes and Patterns.
- Health and Strength – Food, Hygiene, Rest and Sleep, Pain and Illness, Refining the fine and gross motor movements.
