L’avenir classes are named Smile (playgroup), Joy (Nursery), Courage (Kindergarten), and Progress (Class 1). Children who take admission in the Smile Group can be likened to the first delicate buds of spring who by the second year, Joy Group, start opening up, and by the third year, Courage Group , burst forth, ready to bloom like vibrant sunflowers! This year we are adding the new Progress Group where we will support children in blossoming more and more fully and help them transition to a more rigorous learning environment.

Our Approach is of love, kindness, trust and respect, and above all of seeing the world through the eyes of children. At L'avenir we encourage children to make their own decisions and grow their self-confidence. We also think it important that they be allowed to take considered risks and make mistakes. We offer them a space to dream and a time to make these dreams come true.

At L'avenir, the teaching-learning environment helps children to:

• Refine their character and develop qualities of courage, self-confidence, and sensitivity
• Develop a love of nature and the environment; observing pond life, animals, butterflies, birds, trees, etc.
• Strengthen their bodies and improve their sensory-motor skills
• Become aware of their inner sense of ease and unease – to know what is right or wrong for themselves (Discernment)
• Develop their mental faculties of Concentration, Observation and Reasoning through project work
• Develop attitude towards: Peer group, parents, work, life, health, illness, food, environments,
